SOS: Stop Global Warming Seminar in Thailand
Hi, folks! I’m back. I’ve just attended an SOS: Stop Global Warming Seminar in Thailand. It was pretty informative and worth the trip. There were three quite notable speakers there: the vice president of the Asian Institute Technology, Professor Sudip K. Rakshit; Mr. Jacob Kurian, a United Nations representative; and Dr. Art-Ong Jumsai, a former NASA scientist. Interestingly, both the UN rep and the former NASA scientists agreed that vegetarianism plays a large role in curbing the climate change crisis on our planet. The honored guest speaker, Supreme Master Ching Hai - a humanitarian, artist, musician, and meditation guru - was also present via video feed. All in all, it is quite good that different countries are taking the initiative to do inform the public and find solutions to stop global warming. I just hope that there will be more events like this happening around the globe to make an immediate impact. Wouldn’t it be great if we are united globally in this moment of crisis to save or beautiful planet?

I for one agree with you on that. It would be even better if the mainstream media would inform the public of how urgent the situation has become. We are almost into 2009, and though more people are becoming aware of the need to cut down on meat comsumption, or even to go vegetarian or vegan. But it still seems that a lot of people are not yet aware of this necessity. Come on, mainstream media! The survival of this planet surely must rank as front page material.
I just can’t do the vegan thing yet! WAAAAAH!

Hi Mikey, perhaps you can trying going vegetarian, just cut out the meat in your diet. And if you like, maybe try going vegan one meal a day, or once a week. But start going veg is already pretty good! Thanks for checking out my blog.
Mikey… give it a try, you’ll find plenty goooood vegan restaurants… especially if you live in New York (pretty nice pix on ur blog by the way).
And then you’ll see how easy it is to cook yummy vegan food.
But as choopixie said : vegetarian is already good, at least for the animals, your health and this planet.
So from another cohabitant of this Earth : thank youuuu
Mikey, me again…
