Kudos to New York City’s Mayor
Hi folks, it’s been a while but I’m back… no matter how busy, I just had to make time for this little news blurp.
I have to take my hats off to Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York City for doing his best to make the Big Apple go green. His administration has been asking New Yorkers to use cloth bags and recycled the plastic bags to help protect the environment. Well, it looks like he’s following the example of many European countries to change the consumers’ habits - assessing a 6-cent plastic bag tax.
If this proposal passes, New York City will be the first in the country to do something so bold. If it helps protect our environment, curbs climate change, and preserve the planet for all, then a little change in consumer behavior is worth it, I’d say.
Way to go, Bloomberg!
